Boo at the Zoo & Night of the Living Zoo
The National Zoo hosts two separate events to celebrate Halloween. Boo at the Zoo is a family-friendly attraction with treat stations, animal houses and pumpkin decorating contests. Night of the Living Zoo is a 21-and-up event that offers after-hours access to the zoo, live music, food trucks and an assortment of craft brews. Boo at the Zoo runs for three days from October 21 to 23, and Night of the Living Zoo takes place October 28 from 6:30 to 10 PM.
Fall Harvest Family Days at Mount Vernon
On October 22 and October 23 from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Mount Vernon will celebrate autumn with a variety of activities including wheat treading, wagon rides and a straw bale maze. There will also be early-American games, music and dancing.
Nightmare on M street
The longest-running Halloween bar crawl in the District is back for its 18th consecutive year. From 12:00 til 7:30 PM, ticket holders will enjoy great drink specials at over a dozen of the hottest bars and restaurants in D.C.
