Mount Vernon is opening its gates on Saturday, October 26 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM for its special Halloween Trick-or-Treating event. There will be 18th-century style dancing in the upper garden before greeting time with Martha Washington. Tickets for this history-rich event are $16 for adults and $8 for children.
Visit the city of Alexandria's northern neighbor, Del Ray, on October 27 from 2 PM to 4 PM for the 23rd Annual Del Ray Halloween Parade. Children and pets in their finest Halloween costumes are welcome to join the march down Mt. Vernon Avenue to show off their creative genius.
