For beer lovers, spring is a great time of year! Many breweries release seasonal varietals that show off their creativity and celebrate the coming of warm weather. In the D.C. area, one of the beer highlights of spring is the DC Beer Festival held at Nationals Park. This year's festival will be held Saturday, April 16 in two sessions: one from 12 PM to 3 PM and one from 5 PM to 8 PM.

President's Day began as a way for the young United States to honor the birthday of its first president, George Washington. In 1971, Richard Nixon combined Washington's birthday with Lincoln's birthday (February 12) to create a new federal holiday on the third Monday in February.
