Welcome the beginning of fall with the King Street Art Festival happening on September 21 and 22 in Old Town Alexandria. Over 200 artists will have beautiful paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and more on display for the festival-goer's viewing pleasure and opportunity to purchase a beloved piece. The art festival runs from 10 AM to 7 PM on Saturday and 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday. This event is free to attend.
From 6 PM to 9 PM on October 11, 12, and 13, celebrate the history of wine in Virginia at the Fall Wine Festival at George Washington's Mount Vernon. Alongside the fine wine and beautiful view of the Potomac River from the dining area, enjoy live music and a tour of the mansion. Purchase fruit and cheese boxes in advance for a delectable wine tasting experience. Tickets for the wine festival start at $42
Enjoy a social night styled after a 1700s gathering at the Fall Harvest Ball on November 9. It will be hosted at the Gadsby's Tavern Museum from 8 PM to 11 PM. Get your 18th-century groove on by joining in the fun rounds of English country dancing, then stop by the cash bar when you need a break. Attending one of the dance classes on October 17, October 24, or November 7 is recommended for those who need an English country dancing lesson. Tickets are $45 per person.
