Washington Nationals: 2017 Postseason Review
The regular baseball season may be over, but D.C. is buzzing with excitement as the Washington Nationals prepare for their first 2017 MLB playoff game tonight at 7:30. Fans are sitting on the edges of their seats for the upcoming, nerve-wracking 5-series against the 2016 World Series winner Chicago Cubs.

Will the Nats make it through the first round of the 2017 NLDS?

Finishing the regular season 97-65, the Nats are going into the playoffs first in the National League East Division. Some say they had an easy season, but their record against playoff teams is 17-12, an impressive stat to the Cubs’ 11-21 against playoff teams.
Even with winning 4 of their 7 games against the Cubs this season, the Nationals must bring out their best against the Cubs, who won’t give up the round two spot of the NLDS so easily, but it’s more good news for the Nats as they go into the playoffs. Strong players, including right fielder Bryce Harper and outfielder Jayson Werth, have returned to the team in tip-top shape. A bad run with a lot of injuries kept the starting lineup dismantled during the season, but the starting lineup is back to put the pressure on the Cubs.

Things to do around Nationals Park

There are many options to choose from when looking for food or activities around the stadium. Here are a few places to enjoy before or after a game:
  • Justin’s Café – just under a half-mile from Nationals Park is this homely café with excellent sandwiches, soups, and pizzas.
  • East City Book Shop – a gem hides a mile from the stadium in the form of this quaint bookstore. Peruse the stocked shelves in your downtime.
  • Capitol Hill – our nation’s capital resides only a little over a mile from the stadium. Get your fix of our nations heritage while you’re in town for a National’s game.

Choosing a Hotel for the Nationals’ Playoff Games

If you’re planning on coming to see the Washington Nationals play at home, it’s important you have a dependable place to stay.
