  • Does American University offer tours?

    Yes, potential students and their parents can take a guided tour to learn more about academic programs and campus life at American University. Visitors first participate in an information session presented by the admissions team, then take a tour of the campus, guided by a current AU student ambassador. Tours are offered by appointment Monday through Friday, from 9am-5pm and on select Saturdays, from 9am-2pm. Call 202-885-6000 for tour information and reservations.

    Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, near historic Ward Circle, American University is conveniently located within minutes of attractions, shopping and dining in Washington, DC. Visitors can easily reach the college from our hotel. Just ride our free shuttle to the Huntington Metro Station and take the red line to the Tenleytown/AU Metro stop. When you arrive, hop aboard the university's free shuttle for a quick ride from the station to campus.
